When: February 20, 2019, 7:30 pm - 9pm

Where: Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, 6300 Hetzler Rd, Culver City, CA

Coyotes are successful carnivores in urban and suburban environments and one possible contributor to human-coyote encounters is the number of free-roaming domestic cats subsidized by backyard feeding and trap-neuter-release (TNR) programs. Cal State Fullerton MS candidate Danielle Martinez has tackled this question by identifying prey items in the stomachs of urban coyotes. She will report on her ongoing research into understanding the possible role of cat feeding locations as an attractant to coyotes.

Event is free. Free parking in visitor lot at the top of Hetzler Road.
