Fifty BRANT were at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on May 11. Very unusual inland was a BLACK SKIMMER present there on May 14.
A late COMMON MERGANSER was on Quail Lake near Gorman on May 11.
A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was along the Santa Clara River below the 5 Freeway crossing on May 11.
COMMON LOONS were at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required) on May 10 and at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on May 13.
A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON continued at Sims Bio Pond in Long Beach through May 16.
The TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued at Entradero Park in Torrance through May 10.
A probable SULPHUR-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was at Lake Machado at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City on May 13. The bird was well-described but could not be found the next day.
Five PURPLE MARTINS were at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB on May 10.
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena on May 10.
A SUMMER TANAGER was at DeForest Park in Long Beach on May 11.
A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in the southeast part of Hopkins Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach from May 10-12.
