A CACKLING GOOSE continued at the Ballona Wetlands (Area B) through May 17.

Eight RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS were at the Lancaster Water Reclamation Plant (restricted access) on May 12.

A BLACK SWIFT was over Wheeler Park in Claremont on May 17.

A PACIFIC LOON continued at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through May 15.

A LEAST TERN was at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB on May 13.

A pelagic trip into far southwestern LA County waters on May 10 produced a GUADALUPE MURRELET, a HAWAIIAN PETREL, a LEAST STORM-PETREL and two TOWNSEND’S STORM-PETRELS.

Up to two BROWN PELICANS were at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through May 15.

A BURROWING OWL was at the Fish Docks in the Los Angeles Harbor from May 12-17.

A PURPLE MARTIN was at Fryman Canyon Park in the Hollywood Hills on May 15.

AMERICAN DIPPERS continued in San Antonio Canyon at the Barrett-Stoddard Truck Trail stream crossing through May 15.

Two TENNESSEE WARBLERS were on Santa Catalina Island on May 17 and another was at LA Valley College on May 18.

A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in La Crescenta on May 15.
