The HOODED MERGANSER at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park continued through July 28.
A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was at the Dominguez Gap Wetlands in Long Beach on July 29.
BLACK SWIFTS continued to be seen along Cobal Canyon Motorway above Claremont through July 27. A good spot is the bench some distance up the fire road. Late afternoon and early evening is the time to look for them.
Two STILT SANDPIPERS were at the Piute Ponds- on Duckbill Lake- on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required for entry) on July 28.
Two SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, an adult and a juvenile, were along the lower Los Angeles River at Willow Street in Long Beach on July 29, with the juvenile present through July 31.
A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was at Dockweiler State Beach on July 23.
CALIFORNIA CONDORS continued to be seen at various locations along Ridge Route Road near Castaic through July 28. Google Maps 34.5725, -118.6650.
The continuing SWALLOW-TAILED KITE at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City was seen through August 1. It often prefers the north end of the lake and golf course, but may be seen anywhere in the general area.
The BURROWING OWL continued at the Fish Docks in San Pedro through August 1 near Harbor Blvd. and West 22nd Street.
A PURPLE MARTIN was at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park on July 25.
AMERICAN DIPPERS continued along the Burkhart Trail below Buckhorn Campground through July 30. Google Maps 34.3506, -117.9077.
An ORCHARD ORIOLE was at Buena Vista Park in Burbank on July 29.
A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was at Frank R. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on July 27 by the large north shore parking lot.
