This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for February 19.

A male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE continued on the California Aqueduct in the Antelope Valley through February 15. It is being seen between 72nd and 77th Street.

An INCA DOVE continued in Lake Los Angeles through February 13. Check 169th Street East around East Ave. N4.

Up to five VAUX'S SWIFTS were along the Los Angeles River in Glendale by North Atwater Park through February 16.

The BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD at a residence in Pasadena continued through February 15.

AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS were along the lower Los Angeles River in Long Beach on February 14 (between Willow Street and 7th Street) and at Royal Palms Beach in San Pedro (one to two birds) through February 18.

The LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles continued through February 12.

A first cycle LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds in Pico Rivera through February 15, with two observed there on February 12.

Two NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS were along the Los Angeles River below the Willow Street crossing on February 12, at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve through February 13 (up to two birds), along the Los Angeles River at the Marsh Street Park in Glendale on February 13, at Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale through February 18 (up to two birds), at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through February 18 (up to four birds) and at Peck Road Water Conservation Park in Arcadia through February 18.

The immature LITTLE BLUE HERON at the Cabrillo / Salinas de San Pedro Salt Marsh in San Pedro was present through February 17.

Two YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS were at the Alamitos Bay Marina from February 14-17.

CALIFORNIA CONDORS continued to be seen along the 5 Freeway corridor. Most recently, two near Pyramid Lake.

The ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK near Gorman continued through February 17. It is being seen from Ralph's Ranch Road where it parallels the 5 Freeway south of Gorman.

The YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Rolling Hills Estates was seen through February 15 near the nursery.

The DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER at Heartwell Park in Long Beach continued through February 17. It has been near the corner of Parkcrest St. and Woodruff Ave.

Another BROWN-CRESTED FLYCATCHER continued at the South Coast Botanic Garden (and in adjacent residential areas) through February 15.

The TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued around the pond at Entradero Park in Torrance through February 17.

A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER continued at the Ballona Freshwater Marsh in Torrance through February 18.

The GREATER PEWEE at Lacy Park in San Marino was seen through February 18. It has been seen at various places around the sports field. A PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER was at the park through February 18.

A PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER continued at the South Coast Botanic Garden through February 12.

The EASTERN PHOEBE at the Bette Davis Picnic Area in Glendale was reported through February 18. It is being seen on the north side of the Los Angeles River, usually just east of the Riverside Drive crossing. It may be seen in the park area proper or between there and the river channel.

BANK SWALLOWS were reported at Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale on February 13 and at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on February 15.

The GRASSHOPPER SPARROW at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds in Pico Rivera continued through February 13. It has been at the large north basin along the east side berm (north of and across from the Mines Ave. entrance). The continuing PALM WARBLER was by the Mines Ave. entrance also through February 13.

CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS were at Vina Vieja Park in Pasadena through February 15 and two continued at Griffith Manor Park in Glendale through February 17.

A "RED" FOX SPARROW and a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continued at a residence in Rolling Hills through February 18.

A DARK-EYED "GRAY-HEADED" JUNCO continued at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas by the north shore play structure through February 18 and a DARK-EYED "PINK-SIDED" JUNCO continued at Sailboat Cove on the west side of the lake through February 17.

Another DARK-EYED "GRAY-HEADED" JUNCO continued in Juniper Hills through February 14 and two were by the frisbee golf course at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena through February 15.

Another WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continued at Horsethief Canyon Park in San Dimas through February 17 around the dog park.

The West San Gabriel River Parkway Nature Trail in Lakewood continued to host a GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE through February 18 and a PALM WARBLER and a CASSIN'S VIREO continued there through February 15.

The BALTIMORE ORIOLE continued through February 15 at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Rolling Hills Estates in coral trees near the entrance.

BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS continued near the southeast corner of Hopkins Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach through February 13 at the West San Gabriel River Parkway Nature Trail in Lakewood, at Lacy Park in San Marino through February 13, at Madrona Marsh in Torrance through February 17 and at Michigan Park in Whittier through February 13.

The AMERICAN REDSTART at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach continued through February 14 by the entrance to the botanic garden.

The BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER in Long Beach was seen through February 17. The bird is at 388 E. Ocean Blvd at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. It has been in Tipu trees by the intersection of E. Seaside Way and S. Hart Place.

The PAINTED REDSTART at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood was reported through February 14. It has been frequenting an oak tree by the south side of the Pinecrest section, south of the pond.

A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in Pacific Palisades from February 12-15 and a BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK continued near Johnson Lake in Pasadena through February 12.
